Annual Water Quality Report (2022)

The City of Monroe is pleased to present its annual Drinking Water Quality Report covering all testing performed between January 1 and December 31, 2022.

The drinking water the City provides to its residents and customers remains safe, well within state and federal water quality standards, and in good supply.

We continually strive to adopt new methods for delivering the best-quality drinking water to our residents.

As new challenges to drinking water safety emerge, we remain vigilant in meeting the goals of source water protection, water conservation, and community education, while continuing to serve the needs of all our water users in our growing community.

The annual Water Quality Report is required by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Safe Drinking Water Act, and the State of North Carolina.

In addition to water quality results, the report offers helpful information for customers to protect their health from water contaminants that may come from their private household plumbing fixtures.

The report is mailed directly to all City water customers. The report can also be obtained at the City’s Customer Service office, 300 West Crowell Street, or at the Operations Center, 2401 Walkup Avenue.
