The City of Monroe Water Resources Construction Division will be replacing approximately 895 linear feet of existing six-inch cast iron water main on Secrest Short Cut Road between Patton Avenue and Lomax Street. The improvement will require temporary closure with detour of Secrest Short Cut Road in this area. The road closure is anticipated to begin on Monday, May 11 and is anticipated to end by June 15.
During the road closure, detour will be by way of Help Street and Concord Avenue. It is suggested that alternate routes be considered. The City will make efforts to maintain access to businesses and residences along Secrest Short Cut Road. Emergency service vehicle access will be provided at all times. Normal collection of garbage and residential/commercial deliveries will be provided access.
