Community Events

We value opportunities to engage with our community and participate in events with organizations and communities that promote STEAM education and family engagement.

Please fill out the community event request form if you want us to consider attending your event. We're eager to collaborate, whether you're hosting a conference, a free community event, or an educational event. 

Monroe Science Center (MSC) requires a minimum of 21 days advance notice to consider attending your event. 

We will fulfill approved event participation on a first-come, first-served basis as staff availability allows. You will be notified via email of our decision and the next steps. 

To protect the integrity of the MSC and ensure appropriate appearances, all event requests must be made using the request form and will be reviewed by our team for approval. We reserve the right to decline participation in events.

We offer the following options for community partner events:

  • Information Table: We provide a table with brochures and promotional items (if available) and at least one staff member to answer questions about the Monroe Science Center and its offerings.
  • Educational Activity: In addition to an information table, we bring a hands-on activity, such as sensory tiles or blocks, for event guests to interact with. Activities may be customized to fit your event if time and staff allow. This is decided on a case-by-case basis. 
  • Speaker: A staff member will speak about the Monroe Science Center and its offerings at your event or meeting.
  • Career Day: A Monroe Science Center staff member will visit your school's career day to talk about STEM or museum-related careers.

Donation Request

Looking for a donation to your fundraiser or community event instead? Complete the donation request form. 

Completing the form does not guarantee you will receive a donation. Donations can be declined for any reason. 

Please allow at least two weeks notice for a donation request. Donations must be picked up at an arranged time. MSC will not mail donations.
