Safety Observer Volunteer
Safety Observers are responsible for observing children and adults at the exhibits. In addition to assisting visitors who have questions, they ensure that visitors operate exhibits safely and appropriately. Volunteers will enforce regulations put forth by the Monroe Science Center. These may include no running, no eating or drinking inside, and making sure caregivers and chaperones stay with their children.
Education Volunteer
Education volunteers will engage with visitors and lead demonstrations. Volunteers should be able to explain the scientific foundations of those demonstrations. Once we begin programming, volunteers will assist in setting up activities and cleaning after the program. Education Volunteers will assist with birthday parties, field trips, and group visits.
