The City of Monroe Water Resources Department has announced the closing of all City lakes - Lake Lee, Lake Monroe and Lake Twitty - on Thursday, August 8 and Friday, August 9 due to potential severe weather and flooding from Tropical Storm Debby.
Water Resources staff will review the condition of all lakes on Friday to determine if closures will be extended into the weekend.
