MCC's 18-hole golf course bears the unique distinction of being created by two world-renowned course designers – Donald Ross and Tom Jackson. The front nine, designed by Donald Ross in 1936, provides golfers of all skill levels an opportunity to enjoy themselves and test their golfing skills. The subtle elevation changes and the typical Ross greens are just a few of the features that make Monroe Country Club a true gem. The back nine, a 1980’s edition by Tom Jackson, provides a free-flowing test that will keep you coming back for more. With tree-lined fairways, large greens, and tricky doglegs, the back nine will reward, punish and keep you coming back for more.
The public course features 6,759 yards of golf measured from the longest tees. It has a slope rating of 118 and a 71.8 USGA rating. The greens are Champion Bermuda, and the course features four sets of tees for different skill levels. Daily walking and riding options as well as annual greens passes are available. Whether it’s a quick nine holes or tournament play, Monroe Country Club is the place to be.
The fully equipped pro shop is stocked with reasonably-priced golf clubs, golf bags, shoes, shirts, golf balls, and just about everything you need to play the game. The pro shop’s snack bar includes an indoor dining area perfect for enjoying that after-round beverage. The club is also prepared to host tournaments of all sizes and provides the best value and service around.
We also have Nick Jacobi, a PGA Master Instructor, on our staff to help you lower your scores.
Once you play golf here, you will want to come back again and again.
