Located minutes from Downtown Monroe, the Dickerson Recreation Complex offers several amenities to our community. Enjoy a leisurely walk down the Bearskin Greenway, challenge yourself on our 18 hole disc golf course, spend some quality family time at our picnic shelter and playground or take advantage of the many activities that take place within the Dickerson Recreation Center including a weight room, gymnasium, and afterschool programs.

Dickerson After School
This program offers a wide range of activities for children to enjoy on a daily basis. We provide fun, educational, and cultural activities that your child will love! Students have the opportunity to take advantage of homework assistance and unwind from a long day at school. After homework is done, our staff and community partners provide fun and enriching activities that expose students to new and exciting opportunities. Activities include gardening classes, arts and crafts, gym games, team building exercises and much more!
Our staff pick up at the following locations: Benton Heights, East, Walter Bickett, Walter Bickett Education Center, Sardis, Porter Ridge, Rocky River, Poplin, Union Academy's Upper and Lower Schools.
Parents' Night Out
3rd Friday of every month; March - September
Drop your kids off with us and enjoy a night out or just relax. Our staff will provide supervised activities including pizza, a movie and other fun gym activities!
Community Happenings
DC Teens Club - April 5, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. - For ages 13-18
Family Movie Night - April 19, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. - For all ages
