The City of Monroe's Water Resources Department is planning a water main shut down on October 22, 2024 beginning at 8:00 PM.
This main line shut off is necessary to replace a water hydrant at the corner of Highway74 and Stafford St. Ext.
Water service for affected customers will be temporarily cut off for approximately 8 hours.
We apologize for the service interruption and appreciate your patience during this shut down. Water Resources pledges that we will attempt to restore service as quickly as possible.
If you have questions or comments, before or during the shutdown process, please call our Operations Center at 704-282-4601, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. A trained assistant will be available to answer questions you might have.
Once service is restored, you may experience some discoloration or air in your water service. If so, please run your water for a little bit to see if that helps clear it up. If it does not clear up then contact 704-282-4601 and a City of Monroe Water Resources Representative will investigate the problem as quickly as possible.
