Narcotics Unit
The Narcotics Unit is dedicated to the thorough and objective investigation of all narcotics related complaints and activities within the City of Monroe. All investigators are committed to providing a high quality of service to our citizens, other government agencies and all law enforcement agencies. The Narcotics Unit is responsible for investigating illegal drug activity occurring in houses, apartments, businesses and other buildings. The unit is also responsible for investigating applications for licenses to sell alcoholic beverages in the city.
Our objectives:
- To create a less attractive atmosphere and fewer opportunities to sell and purchase drugs in Monroe.
- To increase citizen satisfaction with police efforts at stemming the drug trade while decreasing citizen complaints.
- To more effectively identify and seize drug-related assets.
